[1] LAD Current Datafile List Opened

This is the current datafiles (*.LAD) files that is currently opened.  Each data file in the list includes the entire setup configuration as it would appear in the LAD Database.  The LAD file also includes the 16 bit trace data.  There are several functions associated with the DFL list file to allow the user to easily maintain and edit the listbox.

Load DFL List File

This function allows the user to load a DFL List file. If the field is blank the brows for file popup will be displayed in the IBPD System Default DFL file directory in the default directories configuration.

Remove Selected File

This function allows the user to remove a selected LAD file from the DFL listbox.

Clear List

This function allows the user to CLEAR the listbox and start a new DFL list.

[2] List Box of *.LAD datafiles to View / Save.

The Listbox contains the LAD datafiles that have been saved to this list file.   List files may be any length and is designed to allow the user to document the files characteristics for later recall and presentation.

[3] Current Selection LAD Datafile Information

This data is the current selected data file in the list box.  A single click to highlight the file name will display the file setup information and the file header information.

Open Datasheet File

This function allows the user to open a saved datasheet file that pertains to the LAD trace data.  This list file is optional

Open Cmd List File

This function allows the user to open the Command List files that contains CLA Commands for using the LAD in Command mode.  This list file is optional

[4] LAD LOAD / SAVE (*.DFL Datafile)  MAIN MENU

The MAIN MENU is separated into four groups that address all the functions to handle the LAD datafile setup.  This is not the same as the LAD Database file.  The DFL file saves both Data and setup as well as allow comments within the file for future recall and user data information.

[5] Data File List Maintenance

The Data File maintenance is where the actual datafile list containing all the LAD datafiles.

Save DFL List File

The Save DFL list file allows the user to save a set of LAD Datafiles that may have several setup features in common.  This allows the user to compartmentalize LAD datafiles in a convenient folder for later recall and presentation.  Once a file has been added it is recommended to save the DFL list to a file.

[6] Logic Analyzer Display

The Logic Analyzer Display functions allow the user to save and load specific *.LAD data files for display or presentation.  The *.LAD files maintain both the full setup as the Database file as well as the trace data.  The Database does not store any trace data just the setup data to start collecting data.

Save Trace Display File

This function allows the user to save a current collected LAD datafile to any directory that is available to the network.

Load Trace Display File

This function allows the user to load a saved LAD datafile for presentation or review and also add it to the DFL list box.

[7] Logic Analyzer Data Files

This functions allow the user to edit the LAD datafile. These functions are not activated at this time and are being discussed for security and validation parameters.

Update Selected LAD File

This function allows the user to Update the selected filename in the DFL list box.  The setup parameters and trace data are not allowed to be changed.

Edit Selected LAD File

This function allows the user to edit the file name and save it to a selected location.  The setup parameters and trace data are not allowed to be changed.

[8] View / Edit User Comments

This functions allow the user to add User Comments to the LAD datafile.  The RTF Editor is incorporated into every protocol and is used for all comments in files.

Edit User Comments

This function will call the RTF editor and allow the user to enter comments for the data file for future reference.  Many time datafile have no comments and the setup and other parameters are long been misplaced.  This allows all the information pertaining to the LAD file to remain with it.

[9] CHANNEL GROUP CONTROL

This functions allow the user to view the Groups of channels selected when collecting data.  Each Group has its selected channels and user selected color scheme.

Current Group

This list box has the total number of different groups setup by the user.  Each group has its own assigned channels associated with it.   A single click will display the channels assigned in the channels list box.

Selected Groups Channels

This listbox has the assigned channels of the group selected in the groups list box.

[10] CHANNEL CONFIGURATION & BIT TRIGGER RECOGNITION

This functions allow the user to view the Groups of channels selected when collecting data.  Each Group has its selected channels and user selected color scheme.

Channel ID

The Channel ID allows the user to identify each bits associated signal name it is connected to.

[x] Enable

This checkbox sets the state of the bit. A check enables the bit a blank disables the bit during data collection.

Trigger Recognition Logic Level

L:OGIC_LEVEL_ID Each Bit has a Trigger Recognition state that is selectable by the user.   the standard Hi and Low steady states are selectable for all 16 bits.   The Transitions states Low to High and High to Low are selectable for only one bit.

[11] DATA TIMING SETUP & CONTROL

This is the data timing and control configuration for the trace data collected.

[12] CONFIGURE TIMING BARS 0-6

These are the timing bars set by the user.  There are 7 timing bars, 0-6; Timing bar 0 is always the reference bar.  Timing bars have a user selected color and timing based on the full trace time.

[13] GRAPH COLOR SETUP

This function is the user selected color scheme set by the user during setup.

[14] Resident Help Information

If there is a internal help file for the protocol it will be called.   The about screen shows the registration information for the IBPD Logic Analyzer Device.

[15] Status of Last Command Executed

This is the status of the last command executed and the initialization of the Logic Analyzer Trace Dialog
